Verneri-project

The ”Verneri”, or Peer Advice and Activities project funded by STEA for three years , was launched in Metka-talo during February 2018.

The aim of the project is to strengthen people’s inclusion, offer free of charge activities to the area´s inhabitants, reduce loneliness, integrate people and bring new activities into everyday life, providing new opportunities to learn and develop.

Verneri project arranges guidance and counseling available in Finnish, Swedish, Russian, English, Spanish, Arabic and Somali. You can also get help by phone, whats app, Facebook and email . The service is initially available four days a week from monday to thursday.

In April 2018, Verneri’s club activities started. Verneri has arranged a lot of activities and groups. Handicrafts, language cafes, gardening, circus, football, games, family activities, excursions, summer camps, events and party’s, cultural exhibitions, courses, education. Verneri project has traveled around Finland participating in seminars and conferences.

Verneri project has a lot of collaborators all around Finland and everyone is welcome to become a partner of the project. Also as a volunteer.
